While he didn't ride to Volusia Fairgrounds for the Freedom Rally, Allen West is quick to tell all at the Bikew festival that he is a biker. "Ride Free, Live Free...it's the biker code." It's a quick jump to the American code from that. The Colonel drove up from his district to the Freedom Rally (really, a rock'n'roll tea party) to spread his message..."Take Our Country Back!"
This guy is the real deal. If I didn't sell a CD to pay for my trip (I sold a few more than that) it was WELL worth it to see, hear and meet this modern day patriot whose passion is infused in every phrase of every story. Quoting Jefferson, Plato and his dad, he inspired the few who did show (a little sun and most bikers must have made it to the beach, after Saturday's rain.
Oh, and he is pretty confident on a win in November.
Here is candidate for US FL 8, Patricia Sullivan, the closest we could find of McCain's "biker babes." She is fighting for the despicable Alan Grayson seat.
Yea, feel like a ball game on a rainy day. make that a biker tea party (sounds almost oxymoronic, n'est pas?) But that's the sad fact as chilly temps and morning rain kept the tens of thousands off Daytona's streets (and probably into the hundreds of bars with all their promotions.)
Bike Week Freedom Rally went on as planned with speakers interspersed with musical acts (even a comedian.) Organizer and visionary, Rhonda Lee Welsch, was upbeat and very accepting of God's plans in all of this. She also will lead a prayer service on Sunday morning at 9 to kick off the BIG day.

Sun is forecast along with Lt. Col. Allen West at 4:15 PM. And I will play just before him. In case you didn't see the video of his rousing speech yet, he uses the great line, "Let's Take Our Country Back." (hmmmm.)
Our friends, Kay and Ron Rivoli, will play another set at 2 PM. Kay wrote a new song about the sacrifice of a soldier and his family that is a must-hear.
Also across the plaza was the Tea Party Movie documentary which was being shown all day, non-stop. Executive director, Luke Livingston, was on hand to personally intro each screening. We got to sit together and share stories of 9-12 D.C. which is shown so majestically in his film. Here is a short interview with Luke that I did for Stacy McCain (and, yes, boss, I get that you want hot biker babes but it's freaking cold and rainy .)
"The jig is up." That's right, IPCC. That's right, EPA. That's right, soon-to-be-supoenaed Al Gore (I can dream, can't I?) The anthropomorphic climate change theories that you all have been hawking for the last decade have been proven false. I like Ed Begley, Jr. I've met and talked to him and really like the guy. But he personified all the intolerance and hysteria the left has spewed over this one issue, and this one clip with Stuart Varney says it all:
So now, as the rat criminals would say in days gone by when cornered, the jig is, indeed, up. As was reported in Pajamas Media by Charlie Martin, Sen. James Inhofe has asked for a congressional investigation of all Americans involved in “the greatest scientific scandal of our generation,” including Michael Mann of Penn State, Dr.(?) James Hanses of Columbia and NASA and Where's Waldo Al Gore. Martin goes on:
Since the Climategate Files were released, the IPCC has been forced to retract a number of specific conclusions — such as a prediction that Himalayan glaciers would disappear by 2035 — and has been forced to confirm that the report was based in large part on reports from environmental activist groups instead of peer-reviewed scientific literature. Dr. Murari Lal, an editor of the IPCC AR4 report, admitted to the London Daily Mail that he had known the 2035 date was false, but was included in the report anyway “purely to put political pressure on world leaders.”
No one's expecting the majority to roll with this as they have stalled past calls for investigations, but the heat is on and Inhofe is turning it up. Those who saw the IPCC evidence of foul play before the East Anglia emails now have facts to back up what we knew: that the IPCC had started from a premise (basically they wrote the summary first) and had "scientists" write their opinions next then find some "data" to support the summary.
I'm sorry, Ed, but you have to stop the blathering. You are a smarter man that. I do give you credit for walking the walk (or, in your case, pedaling the toast) but I don't think you want to go any more out on a cracking limb, especially with YouTube around.
