    Rain:1...Freedom Rally:0

Yea, feel like a ball game on a rainy day. make that a biker tea party (sounds almost oxymoronic, n'est pas?) But that's the sad fact as chilly temps and morning rain kept the tens of thousands off Daytona's streets (and probably into the hundreds of bars with all their promotions.)

Bike Week Freedom Rally went on as planned with speakers interspersed with musical acts (even a comedian.) Organizer and visionary, Rhonda Lee Welsch, was upbeat and very accepting of God's plans in all of this. She also will lead a prayer service on Sunday morning at 9 to kick off the BIG day.

Sun is forecast along with Lt. Col. Allen West at 4:15 PM. And I will play just before him. In case you didn't see the video of his rousing speech yet, he uses the great line, "Let's Take Our Country Back." (hmmmm.)

Our friends, Kay and Ron Rivoli, will play another set at 2 PM. Kay wrote a new song about the sacrifice of a soldier and his family that is a must-hear.

Also across the plaza was the Tea Party Movie documentary which was being shown all day, non-stop. Executive director, Luke Livingston, was on hand to personally intro each screening. We got to sit together and share stories of 9-12 D.C. which is shown so majestically in his film. Here is a short interview with Luke that I did for Stacy McCain (and, yes, boss, I get that you want hot biker babes but it's freaking cold and rainy .)
